Welcome to ThisMoment.org

This is a random collection of thoughts from a person of no great significance. I am not a philosopher or theologian. I am just figuring out life, as I live it, and I always feel this need to write, maybe not for the benefit of anyone else. I sometimes need to write just so I can remember some realization or “ah ha” moment I’ve experience.

While I say I am of no great significance, I do have to say how much I love my family and my many dear friends. I guess that is enough “significance” anyone needs really. And my only other significance, is that I inhabited this earth ever so briefly, and had the opportunity to experience this collective miracle we are all experiencing on this rock floating through space. So, at least I can say “I was here.”

When I reflect on my past, I think of lessons learned, happy moments, heartbreaking moments, but the past is not something I can go back to. I can only remember and hopefully learn a few things along the way.

When I think about my future, it honestly is all speculation. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring my way. Heck I don’t really know what the next hour will be like. I just make assumptions, but I never know what may happen next.

So that leaves me with this moment right now. This is where my life is lived, in this moment. That’s true for all of us.

Make this moment the best it can be.
